Still finding my feet here :)

I am from Pretoria, South Africa..

Me and my husband must loose weight drastically. I saw how much support your members receive/give and thought it a good idea to join and also begin the process here (with other people also wanting to loose weight).

I need to loose at least 30kg (I'm 1.57m and weigh 96kg) ... My GW is around 60kgs. My husband is 1.87m and weighs 136kgs (his GW is arround 95/100kgs). I struggled to keep the weight of after I had my children...

Hi Guys,

Ive been stalking the forum for a while now & am starting on 40mg this Thursday & I have a few questions - But first Ill introduce myself!

A little bit about myself....
I'm 28 years old and had a baby 11 months ago. Her Name is Layla and she is my first born. Hopefully first of 4 :)
Prior to getting pregnant i began to realise that i would binge eat. I wouldnt eat anything all day and then eat like a pig from 6pm onwards. I would eat everything and anything. Hub, I'm on day 3 today. Tues was ok , just a bit dizzy and floaty, day 2 was actually good besides a headache but today I feel quite bad . I am dizzy , headache , legs sweating heaps and heart racing a bit. I don't want to quit already. Is there another option ? I am thinking something like taking it every second day perhaps ?

I am on 30mg. First 2 days felt fine, one headache and didn't eat much at all. Not on purpose was just busy and forgot. Day 3 I fainted first thing in the morning, think it was from not eating and got out of bed too quickly. So after that I made sure I ate. Since then I have been fine. Some days I feel like it's not working, always feeling hungry. Although I must admit I don't think about chocolate or any other sugar filled foods. Hey guys and girls :)
I am 19, I'm in my second year out of school and I don't really have a stable schedule.
Since 2012 I have gained about 20kg according to doctors records which has completely devastated me every time there is a significant backwards change.
Today I was introduced to the word 'duromine' followed by the words 'legal speed'. I couldn't believe my doctor just suggested I take speed.... Like am i going to feel like im on drugs?
She basically said I need to be able to exercise...

Thyroid & Duromine....

So I went to the doctors to get the results of extensive blood tests and he says that I have low thyroid or Pre-Clinical Hypothyroidism.
He says I need to get an ultrasound on my thyroid then a blood test. BUT I have to be off the Duromine for two weeks prior to the blood test.
Not in a hurry as my levels were not that low but he told me my antibodies were elevated. Normal is 60 mine was above 1,000. Don't know what antibodies are, will have to research.
He wrote me another one month script...

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and looking to loose weight with the help of duromine. I have tried everything on my own and not loosing much... I'm 23 years old my height is only 152cm and I weigh 97kg... Doctors have said I need to try loose weight so I'm seeing my GP next week to start duromine.. My ideal weight should be 55kg but I'd be happy with 60kg. So I gotta try loose 37kg. I'm going to Las Vegas for holiday next year march and hope to loose at least 30kg by then with hard work...

Hey everyone I'm going to my doctors next week to start duromine. I'm 23, height is 152cm and I weigh 97kg and considered obese. I want to try and get to 60kg by March next year. So a loss of 37kg as I'm going on a holiday from Australia to Las Vegas! To go to supernatural convention. Would this goal be possible with hard work put into it????

Hi Everyone,

Is anyone else experiencing difficulty with exercising? I walk 5klms every afternoon on the treadmill however yesterday and today I've noticed that about 30 minutes after I finish I experience a really sick feeling in my stomach, I could possibly relate it to hunger pain (same feeling). It's horrible :( Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm thinking I need to eat more through the day?? Other symptoms are increased heart rate and uneven breath but I put this down to exercising. I...

Wow what a journey it has been so far. 9 weeks in and a total loss of 19.4kg

When starting out I thought it would be like every other diet, boy was I wrong. I changed my whole way of thinking, eating and reacting to food. My first goal was to loose 15kg - I did that in my 6th week. My second goal was to be under 120kg

Nasal Spray

I've been taking Duromine for 7 days now. Can I use nasal spray whilst taking it? I know you can't take cold/flu medication but not sure about nasal spray. Any advice on how to help my sinus' and sore throat is much appreciated.

Duromine and Morning after pill

Hi,

I recently started on Duromine (2nd July 2014) and a few days thereafter i used the morning after pill (7th July 2014). My period was due round about the 9th July and i still did not get it. I am over 2 weeks late with my period and i am not sure if duromine affects your periods in any way. Or..is it possible for duromine to have cancelled out the morning after pill.

Please help, i dont want to buy a HPT only to find out that the duromine might have affected my period.

Hi there,

Has anyone taken B6 vitamins while on duromine? does it have any bad effects when taking the two together?

I am on 30mg and have been on duromine for just over a week and a half. Struggling badly with lethargy to the point that I can't work, and someone suggested Magvit B6, just wanted to find out if anyone knows it and has had any success with it whilst also on duromine.

Hi, I'm 34, mom of 3 (aged 6, 4, 2), South African.
Still breastfeeding, and need to wean baby now, so I can start.
But first, have to go for blood test to rule out diabetis.
Once liver and breastfeeding is sorted, want to start.

o_OI found this site while doing my "research"! Good grief, I'm hoping for the best here. I am 44, 1.57 and around (or "a round"?) 80 km. My doctor is not keen on prescribing meds like this so I am considering buying online. I found a site selling 30 mg for R570. Is that more or less what the rest of you in SA pay for it? I live in Pretoria.
